Westfield Baseball Steals Victory from Randolph in Late Innings
Kevin Galasso threw a complete game as Blue Devils advance to Group championship game.
Senior starting pitcher Kevin Galasso threw a complete game and came away with a 3-2 win over No. 3 seed Randolph in the Group 4 state semifinals on Tuesday.
Randolph got to Galasso early and put up two runs in the third inning. Things were looking bleak for Westfield as they entered the bottom of the sixth but it turned around quickly.
After squaring things at two in the sixth, Westfield had stolen the game's momentum and scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

Westfield entered the tournament as the No. 10 seed in the North 2 Group 4 section and is now one win away from completing its unlikely run to a Group title. Follow @PatchSportNJ for all things local sports in New Jersey.
