WESTFIELD, NJ — In recognition of National Mental Health Awareness Month, and the difficulties the community has faced over the past two years, Westfield's Mental Health Council is hosting a "Walk for CAKE."

The Mental Health Day, featuring lots of free activities and a community walk, will take place on Sunday, May 15.

The day will begin with a "Walk for CAKE," which stands for Compassion, Acceptance, Kindness and Empathy, at 10:30 a.m. in Mindowaskin Park. Participants can enjoy a walk in the park featuring stations that highlight aspects of wellness — such as yoga, music, art, meditation and pet therapy.
