Westfield Gymnasts Take Home Gold in 2015 Senior National Championship

Two Westfield girls on Team New Jersey went to Florida for the Senior National Gymnastics Championship and brought home gold.

The team of six girls included Jenna Rizkalla and Hanna Goldring, both of Westfield; Nicole Sottiriou, of South Plainfield; Anne Meringolo, of Watchung; Jessica Villorosi, of Hunterdon Central; and Maggie Mcgrorry from Ocean Township, according to a report from TAPinto.net.

Rizkalla took the title in vault, finished in second place in the all-around and had a sixth place bar finish, according to the report. Goldring finished 27th overall, with an eighth place floor finish.

The top two teams came down to New Jersey and Massachusetts, with New Jersey winning by the slim margin of 0.525 points, the report said.
