Here is a sample of what some of the students said:

  • “Teachers are the best out of the best.”
  • “Although I cannot speak for the entire faculty of Westfield High School, my teachers try to be as helpful as they can to the students in the classroom. All of my teachers offer the chance to sign up for a conference to ensure their students are not struggling. Most of my teachers begin the class with an engaging topic to get the class to a great start, following into an intriguing lesson. For example, my Global Perspectives teacher wanted us students to understand what it felt like to be a soldier in WWI; henceforth, she split us up across the classroom as we proceeded to throw paper mines at each other, while engaging in a lively discussion about the conditions of soldiers. My teachers greet me in the hallway, and gives a nice feeling to know that even outside of the classroom, they offer assistance and support along the way.”
  • “Teachers are respectful and engaging with students”
  • “[The] teachers are hardworking and very accommodating, if a student has a problem they are usually more than happy to help. In addition, the teachers have very high expectations and provide students with the means to achieve those goals. Teachers are always available for extra help. The courses offered are very different and the number of teachers allow students to experience different viewpoints and experience different styles of teaching.”
