Westfield High's Shakespeare Production Wins Prestigious Foxy Award

The cast's performance of 'Much Ado About Nothing' received an award for 'Outstanding Achievement' at the 2022 Foxy Awards.

WESTFIELD, NJ — The cast of Westfield High School's production of Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" received the award for "Outstanding Achievement by an Acting Ensemble of a Classical Play" at the recent Foxy Awards.

The virtual ceremony, called the 2022 Montclair State University Theater Night Foxy Awards, was held on May 23. Besides winning the "Outstanding Achievement" award, the high school's fall 2021 production was also nominated for six additional awards.

“The recognition of the full cast as a whole is terrific and well deserved,” Westfield High School Theatre Director Daniel Devlin said.

This show was the school's first production performed in-person following a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
