Westfield Library offers Decoding the Mystery of Cats

Feline behaviorist Stephen Quandt explains cat behavior and answers your questions in a Q&A session on Zoom.

On Wednesday, September 22 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., the library presents “Decoding the Mystery of Cats, or Why They do What They Do” by Stepen Quandt, feline behaviorist.

Cats’ behaviors are often mystifying and this program answers questions such as “Why does a perfectly friendly cat attack your ankles in the evening but ignore you during the day?” Quandt will enlighten the audience with fascinating facts, followed by a chance to get questions answered in a Q & A session.

Originally a theatrical lighting designer, Quandt began working with cats in 2002. For eight years he worked professionally with the ASPCA at their adoption center in NYC, working in feline behavior and adoptions, and nationwide with the Field Investigations and Response Team on large scale criminal cruelty cases and natural disasters.
