Westfield Mayoral Candidate Lays Out Objectives Ahead Of November
Domogala is currently serving Ward 3 as a council member.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Current Ward 3 Councilman Mike Domogala (R) has laid out his vision for the Town of Westfield as he continues to campaign for the mayor's office in November.
Domogola is looking to defeat Jeremy Berman (D) in the general election after Mayor Shelley Brindle announced earlier this year that she will not seek a third term. She will exit after holding the position since 2017.
The first-time councilman would serve a four-year term, where he says, “As Mayor, I will continue to serve as a respectful and open-minded conduit among council members, residents, businesses, and town staff." His plan, announced by him and his team on Monday, will be centered on fiscal responsibility, balanced development, strong public safety, and the commitment to bettering the Town's parks, recreation areas, and open spaces.

Westfield would be placed under a multi-year sidewalk replacement plan, along with designated certain areas for delivery pick-up and drop-off zones.
Domogoala believes there needs to be enhanced "disciplined oversight" of the One Westfield Place project to ensure that developers are accountable, and that the long-term benefits coincide with addressing issues like traffic congestion.
Recreation
Should he be elected, Domogala says he will immediately address the remediation efforts of natural fields in the area by advocating for soil testing, overseeding, and aeration.
“Westfield deserves thoughtful planning, integrity in decision-making, and leadership that places residents’ needs ahead of special interests," Domogala adds. "My vision is about strengthening what makes Westfield special."
Domogala is a graduate of New York University's program of Economics and East Asian Studies. His election in 2023 marked the first time that the financial risk professional ran for public office. As of 2015, Domogala and his wife Jennifer moved to Westfield where they now reside and are raising three kids.
