As school years across the country are winding down, several Westfield natives have been inducted into an honor society or have received honors at their respective colleges and universities.
Emily Clauss was recently inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, one of the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor societies for all academic disciplines. Clauss is pursuing a degree in biology at Kean University in Union, New Jersey.
Clauss is one of 32,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be inducted into the honor society each year. Initiation requires invitation, nomination and approval from a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors, having at least 72 semester hours, are eligible for membership.
