Westfield's Pizza Run Will Result In Several Road Closures
The annual 5K & Pizza Extravaganza is back after a two-year hiatus. Read below to find out which roads will be affected:
WESTFIELD, NJ — Westfield's annual 5K & Pizza Extravaganza is back on Monday, July 18, which means several roads will be closed for the race.
The popular running event was on pause for the past two years, due to the pandemic. All runners who participate in this year's 5K will receive coupons for free pizza. The race is set to begin at 7 p.m.

Residential streets on the race route will be closed by 6:15-6:30 p.m., and are expected to remain closed until approximately 8:00 p.m. Westfield Police will assist residents entering or leaving their residences on these streets.
The following streets will be closed for the race:

- Central Avenue (from North Avenue to East Broad Street) and East Broad Street (from Central Avenue to Euclid Avenue) will close at approximately 6:15 PM, and are expected to reopen between 7:15-7:30 PM.
- Mountain Avenue (from East Broad Street to Kimball Avenue) will close at approximately 6:15 PM and is expected to be reopened between 7:30-7:45 PM.
- Quimby Street will be closed beginning at 2:00 PM.
- Elm Street (from North Avenue West to East Broad Street) will be closed beginning at 2:00 PM.
- East Broad Street (from North Avenue West to Elm Street) will remain open until the race preparation begins at 6:00 PM.
- Parking on East Broad Street between Central Avenue and Elm Street will be cleared as spaces become available as early as 3:00 PM.
- Elm Street between the public pay station parking lot and East Broad Street will be closed from 4:00 PM until approximately 9:30 PM.
Runners have been instructed to park at the South Avenue lot and Westfield is offering free parking after 3 p.m. in any remaining downtown spaces.
