GARWOOD, NJ - A beloved New Jersey wine bar, once voted best in the state, is slated to close its doors for good next month.

Closing festivities will last through the week with retail discounts aplenty, a musical performance and one last Wine Wednesday vino tasting.
Rosie’s Wine Bar opened in 2007, helmed by Joshua "Rosie" Rosenberg, with the goal of creating an informal environment for New Jerseyans to learn more about wine: either through “create your own flight” options, seasonal wines by the glass or over 250 wines by the bottle at 30 percent off shelf price.

“You can browse our shelves just like at your local wine shop, (which is in fact where you are!), or, if you prefer, select a wine from the reserve lists printed in your menu,” Rosie’s website reads.
The accessible business model appeared to work, as Rosie’s was lauded by the likes of NJ Monthly in 2010, earning the title of best wine bar in the state.
Yelp reviewers concurred, describing the wine bar as “Charming, sweet, and worth a visit.”
“Small town vibe with big town selections and service,” one customer wrote. “Enjoyed it and the wine."

“You came in as a customer and left as our friend,” the wine bar said. “Forever cheers!”
