3-Car Crash Near West Orange School Causes Multiple Injuries: Police
One of the drivers had a "diabetic emergency" and lost consciousness, setting off a chain reaction of collisions, authorities said.
WEST ORANGE, NJ — A three-car crash took place near a school in West Orange on Tuesday after one of the drivers had a “diabetic emergency” and lost consciousness, authorities said.
The crash took place in the vicinity of Gregory School at 301 Gregory Avenue, a township spokesperson told Patch.
According to police, a preliminary investigation shows that one of the drivers suffered a diabetic emergency while behind the wheel and lost consciousness, which set off a chain reaction of collisions, authorities said.

Emergency responders transported two of the drivers to Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston with non-life-threatening injuries.
The area was shut down on Tuesday afternoon to clear the scene of traffic hazards, authorities said.
