Nestled in the heart of Essex County lies the Township of West Orange, a vibrant community with a rich tapestry of history, culture and diversity. The address itself, 609 Eagle Rock Avenue, has been a cherished cornerstone for local residents for nearly six decades.
Its deep history began in 1954 as The Cabana Club, a beloved social and recreational club that focused on family activities.
The swimming pool, tennis courts, mahjong tournaments and day camps for children made the location synonymous with summer fun and an ideal gathering place within the community.
To this day, memories live on when former campers continue to reunite and share their stories.
The Cabana Club closed in the early 90’s, however, The Atrium opened its doors as an elegant event venue to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments.
Hosting weddings & birthdays, baptisms & bat mitzvahs, christenings and retirement parties, it was an exquisite gathering place for friends and families for nearly 30 years until it hosted its last celebration in 2017.
The property remained unoccupied until CHELSEA SENIOR LIVING was looking to break ground and expand its state-of-the-art amenities and care services for seniors.
With a focus on creating a warm and welcoming environment while ensuring that residents can age gracefully, safely and comfortably in a place they can truly call home, THE CHELSEA AT WEST ORANGE promises to be a beacon of the community and connection for seniors and their families.
