New Jersey – November 2, 2025 — Hurricane Melissa, the most powerful storm in Jamaica’s recorded history, has caused unprecedented devastation across the island. In response, the Jamaica Organization of New Jersey (JON-J) has launched an urgent relief initiative to support those affected on the island.

JON-J is coordinating with government authorities in both Jamaica and the United States to ensure rapid, transparent, and cost-effective delivery of aid. We are seeking monetary donations and in-kind contributions; a list of urgently needed supplies is available at: https://supportjamaica.gov.jm/

Please note, food items are not being collected at this time.

Multiple drop-off locations have been established throughout New Jersey, with additional sites planned for increased accessibility. All shipments will be managed in coordination with the Government of Jamaica to avoid unnecessary expenses or customs fees.
