Liberty Middle Schoolers Volunteer at Hillside Food Bank
Earlier this month Liberty Middle School students volunteered at a local food bank.

Students at Liberty Middle School and members of the school’s Helping Hands Club and Student Council volunteered at the Community Food Bank of Hillside.
The middle schoolers helped scoop whole wheat pasta and package it in one pound bags while another group sealed and labeled each bag, according to West Orange Public Schools. The students bagged 3,100 bags of pasta and donated $100 in cash and canned goods to the food bank.
Students learned about the mission of the food bank and how it provides state and federal food and low cost food to local soup kitchens and food pantries throughout Essex County, the school district said. More than one million people benefit from the contributions of the Hillside Community Food Bank.
