Local Justice: Decisions in Municipal Court
The Municipal Court handled four criminal cases.

In State v. Raquel Lewis-Powell, of Rosedale New York, the State charged defendant with shoplifting from Macy's. Defendant pleaded guilty to the charge. The Court imposed a $100 fine, $33 in court costs, a $50 VCCB (Violent Crimes Comensation Board) penalty and a $75 safe neighborhood assessment.
In State v. Esteban Hernandez, of West Orange, the State charged defendant with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana. Defendant pleaded guilty to the charge. The Court sentenced defndant to 90 days jail time (which was suspended) and one year probation. The Court also imposed a $100 fine, $33 costs, $50 VCCB penalty, and $75 Safe Neighborhood assessment
In State v. Cletus Honore, of West Orange, the State charged defendant for seeking to obtain drugs. Defendant pleaded guilty to the charge. The Court imposed a $100 fine, $33 costs, $50 VCCB penalty, $75 Safe Neighborhood assessment

In State v. Alvaro Vasquez, of West Orange, The State charged defendant with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana. The charge resulted in a one year conditional discharge, plus an aggregate of $806 in penalties and costs.
