Here’s what to know, according to the DWOA:

“The mural should complement the existing ‘Sky Mural,’ which features flowers, plants, and butterflies, creating a cohesive and visually appealing environment. The mural must also capture the unique identity of Downtown West Orange, highlighting its history, community values, and cultural landscape. The recently implemented Sky Mural, featuring two larger-than-life illuminated butterflies that give visitors ‘wings’ for selfie or group photos are perfect for sharing and remembering a day in West Orange.”

The deadline for mural submissions is Friday, March 14, with artist selection notification on March 28. The project completion deadline is May 31.

“Imagination Alley has added a vibrant and much-needed facelift to the area surrounding St. Mark’s Square, the gateway from one of the largest parking lots to busy Main Street,” Mayor Susan McCartney said.

“With the addition of bright, whimsical decorations and vintage-inspired lighting, the area has been completely transformed,” McCartney added.
