“Our name says it all: finding your ‘HZY’ means finding your balance, your calm, or your perfect high. We’ve designed every detail of our shop with that in mind — from retro-inspired décor that takes you back to the golden eras of the 70s, 80s and 90s to carefully curated products that celebrate the best of New Jersey’s cannabis scene.”
It’s been a long-but-rewarding journey to opening day for the owners of HZY Goods, who say they are running an “entirely independent” dispensary that isn’t backed by any outside stakeholders or investors. Many of the staff members are local residents, and the city benefits from a 2-percent transfer tax on cannabis transactions, TAPinto East Orange/Orange reported.
“Our goal has always been to make cannabis approachable, fun and rooted in community,” said a spokesperson for the dispensary said. “East Orange is full of vibrant culture and good people, and we’re proud to bring something unique — a dispensary where good vibes meet premium cannabis.”
