New Jersey Arts Incubator Appoints Chairwoman, Vice Chairman
The West Orange-based non-profit has appointed two new chairpersons.
The New Jersey Arts Incubator (NJAI) has appointed Rachelle Dickerson as Chairwoman and Tyrone Corbett ad Vice Chairman of the organization’s executive board.
Dickerson and Corbett will work with Susan Anderson, NJAI Creative Director, and David Peart, NJAI Producing Director, on their next season at the Oskar Schindler Performing Arts Center in West Orange, according to a release from the West Orange-based NJAI.
Dickerson, a South Orange resident, works as a paralegal and public relations consultant. Additionally, she has 20 years of experience as a journalist and teacher, the release said. Dickerson received her bachelor’s degree from CUNY-Hunter College and Juris Doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University.

“I am honored to have been named the new Chairwoman of the New Jersey Arts Incubator,” Dickerson said in the release. “I look forward to working with this great team of creative people to continue to bring the arts to our community and help grow this organization.”
Corbett attended Virginia Union University and received a bachelor’s degree in commercial music, according the release. Corbett worked with a number of organizations before creating his own organization, The Corbett Music Group. According to the release from the NJAI, he has worked with numerous artists, including artists from the television shows “American Idol” and “Making the Band.”

“I am quite excited to have been elected Vice Chairman of NJAI,” Corbett said. “It is my greatest desire to continue the vision of fostering the growth of our artistic community, as well this fantastic organization.”
