Each book in this series is a present-day mystery or legal thriller that derives its plot from some event of the so-called "Deadball Era" in baseball, roughly the years 1900-1920. In this case, the story is grounded in the little-known love of baseball on the part of West Orange's most famous resident, Thomas Edison. The Edison complex on Main Street and the Glenmont estate provide the backdrop for the story of a lost heir, a forgotten experiment, an unknown treasure, and a quirky solution: find a way to dig up a national park -- legally.
Previous titles in this series have been named finalists in the American Book Fest competition for Sports Book of the Year, the Readers' Favorite competition for Best Sports Fiction of the Year, and the International Thriller Writers competition for Best Legal Thriller of the Year, as well earning nominations for the Society for American Baseball Research's Ritter Award. More information about The Keystone Corner and the other books in the series, including reviews, can be found on the author's website at www.jbmanheimbooks.com.
