Rho Gamma Omega Chapter Partners with The Church of Epiphany & Christ Church for Annual Thanksgiving Feast

The Rho Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® continued its longstanding tradition of service by partnering with The Church of Epiphany & Christ Church for their annual Thanksgiving Day Feast. The event was led by the chapter’s Uplift Our Local Community and GenNext Committees, and took place on Saturday, November 22, 2025. The event provided essential support to local residents ahead of the holiday season.

Members of Rho Gamma Omega, along with volunteers and partners from the Church of the Epiphany & Christ Church, worked throughout the day to prepare meals, assemble supply bags, organize coat donations, and greet community members with care and dignity.

This year’s initiative made a significant impact. Volunteers served warm meals to 246 individuals and distributed approximately 275 to-go food packages for families to enjoy at home. In addition, the chapter provided 125 Thanksgiving supply bags filled with vegetables and pantry staples, helping households prepare their own holiday meals. With winter approaching, the effort also included the distribution of approximately 100 coats to community members in need.

The Thanksgiving Feast has become a signature initiative for the chapter, aligning with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated’s® commitment to lifelong service and social impact. Year after year, the event strengthens community bonds and provides vital resources during an important time of year.
