Road Between West Orange And Orange Will Be One-Way In August

Officials are trying out a new traffic pattern for a busy street between the two towns. The experiment will last until Sept. 1.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Are you planning to take a drive down Nassau Street between West Orange and Orange this month? There’s something you should know – it will be one-way, officials say.

The following advisory was posted to the West Orange Township social media page on Friday:

“Please be advised that Nassau Street will be ONE-WAY from South Valley Road in the Township of West Orange to Valley Street in the City of Orange as pilot program to change the direction of Nassau Street for a period of 30 days that commence on August 1, 2024 to September 1, 2024 in the proposed direction to temporary evaluate traffic flow and pedestrian patterns.”
