WEST ORANGE, NJ — Students from preschool through high school returned to classrooms in West Orange on Thursday, many for the first time in nearly 18 months.

“After months of planning, the district hopes to return to some level of normalcy,” school officials said. “Last week's storm caused some flooding in the schools, but all went well with this morning's openings.”
