Sisters Die Trying To Save Disabled Dad From Thanksgiving Fire In North Jersey: Officials
Sisters died on Thanksgiving trying to save their father from a fire in an Essex County home, prosecutors said.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Two sisters died on Thanksgiving trying to save their disabled father from a fire in Essex County, officials said.
Frantzia Fleury, 49, and Pojanee Fleury, 42, were killed in the blaze, which started in a home in Orange around 5 p.m., said a spokesperson for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office on Friday.

The sisters were pronounced dead at the scene at 6:47 p.m. said spokesperson Carmen Martin.

Their father escaped uninjured, as did six other people in the home at 660 Mosswood Ave., Martin said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and no additional details are available at this time, she said.
