Township Council Meets Tuesday This Week Ahead

Here's what is going on around town this week in West Orange.

On Monday, the Open Space Commission is set to meet at 7 p.m. in Conference Room 109 in Town Hall, 66 Main Street.

On Tuesday, the West Orange Township Council will convene at 7 p.m. in West Orange Town Hall, 66 Main Street. Check out attached agenda for details.

In that meeting, the council voted to raise the sewer assessment $65, or 35 percent, to cover increasing costs and to settle the town’s part in a huge pollution remediation lawsuit, according to Councilman Joe Krakoviak.

On Wednesday, a Downtown Alliance meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers in Town Hall, 66 Main Street.

The Historic Preservation Commission is also set to meet on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Conference Room 109 in Town Hall, 66 Main Street.

On Thursday, the Human Relations Commission will meet at 7 p.m. in town hall, 66 Main St.
