In the first gallery visit "Inner Mindscapes" work by Kathleen Heron, with 3-D assemblages and constructs, coaxing faces or figures from the grain and knots of found wood to tell a story. “My assemblages may tell a story, but the objects often just interact, as in a drama without a plot. The objects seem to come together of their own accord. My sensibilities direct the balance, the composition, the color and characters emerge as if from a dream.”
In the next galleries on display are Bismarck Treminio's Children's Collection of realistic emotive paintings, along with scenes from his Nicaraguan roots. Drawing has been his companion during childhood, and painting became a passion at the age of fourteen. “Art became a form of expression and communication for me. Art became a reflection of my mood and a way to convey my deepest emotions.”

Zitro's work themed "Behind the Mural" presents a series of paintings from the artist behind the immersive murals being completed at Benji's Taqueria in West Orange's downtown district.
Luis Ortiz "Zitro’s," murals are influenced by the rich culture and traditions of his home country, Mexico, and his visual stories create a dialogue between the past and the present. “I believe that both visual art and music have the power to touch the soul and tell stories without words, so I try to integrate these sensory experiences into my work.”
“The volunteers and Board Members of the West Orange Arts Council are determined to keep the arts alive in our community,” says WOAC Chair Patricia Mitrano.
