West Orange Residents Complete Boston Marathon

Five West Orange Township residents completed the 119th Boston Marathon on Monday, April 20.

Eliot Bank, 38, Cassandra D. Lipsey, 42, Laura Boll Peifer, 33, Julie Song, 44, and Jay M. Soroko, 44, all completed the 26.2 mile course through the Boston streets.

More than 30,000 people were expected to participate in the marathon, according to the Boston Globe. About one million spectators were also expected.

According to the 2015 Boston Marathon results, their times include:

• Bank finished with an official time of 3 hours, 27 minutes and 8 seconds. His half marathon time was clocked at 1 hour, 41 minutes and 44 seconds.
• Lipsey completed the course with an official time of 3 hours, 49 minutes and 35 seconds. Her half marathon time recorded was 1 hour, 49 minutes and 49 seconds.
• Boll Peifer completed the 26.2 miles with an official time of 3 hours, 58 minutes and 41 seconds. Her half marathon time was 1 hour, 57 minutes and 52 seconds.
• Song finished the marathon with an official time just a hair under 4 hours, at 3 hours, 59 minutes and 54 seconds. Her half marathon time was recorded at 1 hour, 56 minutes and 5 seconds.
• Soroko completed the marathon with an official time of 4 hours, 28 minutes and 40 seconds. His half marathon time was clocked at 2 hours, 10 minutes and 53 seconds.
