West Orange Town Council Chooses New President For 2026 (WATCH)

A changing of the guard took place in West Orange this week. Here's who the new council president is.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Township Council has a new president: Susan Scarpa.

The council voted to elect Scarpa as president at their meeting on Tuesday. She replaces Joe Krakoviak at the head of the dais.

Mayor Susan McCartney administered the oath of office to Scarpa. Her term as president and council member will expire on Dec. 31, 2026.
