Woman's Body Discovered at South Mountain Reservation
Authorities are working to identify a woman's body found in the South Mountain Reservation Tuesday afternoon.

A woman’s body was discovered by a hiker at the South Mountain Reservation on Tuesday afternoon, authorities say.
A hiker was walking a dog through the reservation when he discovered the body around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, according to a report from NJ.com.
After discovering the body, officers evacuated the entire nature reserve, which encompasses more than 2,000 acres, ABC 7 reported. The body was discovered in a heavily wooded area without any trails.

The woman has not yet been identified. Authorities with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes and Homicide Task Force are working to determine the cause of death, NJ.com said.
Authorities said more information would be released as it becomes available.
