• Wildwood the Latest Town to Join Central 911 Dispatch (capemaycountyherald.com) — Wildwood has officially shifted its 911 and police dispatching to Cape May County’s central system, closing the city’s own communications division while keeping the same non-emergency phone number. All remaining city dispatchers were hired by the county with no loss of pay or benefits, and officials say the move avoids over $1 million in equipment upgrades while aligning Wildwood with neighboring island communities. 
• Wildwood defeats Pennsville (nj.com subscription) — Wildwood High’s girls basketball team thrilled home fans with a 66-37 win over Pennsville, powered by a dominant third quarter on their home court. Rebecca Benichou led Wildwood with an all-around performance, while teammates Laila Fathi and Angela Wilber added key scoring to secure the early-season victory.
