Bus Overturns On NJ Turnpike, Killing 1, Injuring Nearly 2 Dozen
The bus rolled over on the entrance ramp to the Thomas Edison Service Area, New Jersey State Police said.
WOODBRIDGE, NJ - A person died and many others were hurt when a bus overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike Tuesday evening, authorities said.
The bus, reportedly a Megabus that was traveling from New York City to Philadelphia, veered off the road to the right and rolled over onto the entrance ramp to the Thomas Edison Service Area near Woodbridge, New Jersey State Police said.

The crash, which happened at 6:53 p.m., left a stretch of the turnpike's outer roadway closed for hours, police said.
NBC10 reported that in addition to the fatality, nearly two dozen people were injured in the crash, five of them seriously. Two people were airlifted from the scene, that network reported.

The bus was carrying about 20 passengers at the time of the crash, police said.
The New Jersey Turnpike was reopened just before 2 a.m. Wednesday.
A person who arrived on the scene shortly after the crash occurred shared these images of the wreckage on social media.
The identity of the person who was killed in the crash has not yet been released. The current condition of those seriously injured is unknown.
