Back to School Woes of Woodbridge Parents

What are you dreading now that back-to-school is approaching? Patch wants to know.

The countdown is on. Woodbridge Township schools begin on Sept. 4, which is just a little over two weeks away.

Check out the updated 2013-2014 calendar, here.

What could be the worst part of heading back to school? Is it not getting to sleep in? Having to schlep the younger ones around to their activities? Maybe you are ready to throw a party to finally have them out of your hair. We want to know!

We asked Woodbridge residents on Facebook what they felt the worst part of back to school was and here are some of the answers they gave us:

  1. As Jeffrey Joyce put it, “Everything.”

  2. “Getting the kids up,” one parent said.

  3. “Kids,” Dorothy Candy said.

  4. “The school not supplying a list of supplies to get until the 1st day of school!!! All sales are over by then and very little to choose from,” Anna Baldassarre expressed.

  5. “Not being able to sleep in…. Until 8!,“ Michelle Lyn Sptizer told us.

  6. “Leaving all the summer fun behind,” Idamiz Roman said.

  7. “The price of EVERYTHING and the crowds! Especially the night after the first day of school! IT IS INSANE!!!!” Denise Kukulya Kovalewich explained.
Several commenters agreed that having school on Sept. 4, a half-day Sept. 5 and then off the 6th, 7th and 8th was a waste.

Do you agree? What do you think is the worst part of heading back to school?
