Body Recovered from Raritan River Shoreline in Woodbridge

Officials are investigating a body found at the shoreline of the Raritan River in Woodbridge on Monday.

An employee in the area discovered remains of a human body around 2 p.m. on Monday near the shoreline that backs up against the Raritan Center complex and contacted authorities.

The area was immediately closed off while authorities recovered the remains and transported them to the Middlesex County Examiner’s Office, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s office.

The Examiner’s Office is now working to identify the body and determine the cause of death.
