Woodbridge Asks Public For Feedback On Proposed Playground At Former Ford Avenue Elementary School
The Township wants to know what the public would like to see there; please fill out this survey:
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac announced Monday the town intends to build a new inclusive playground at the former Ford Avenue elementary school site.
The town is looking for feedback from residents about what they would like to see at the new playground, which is only in planning and conceptual phase. The Twp. asks the public to give their feedback here: https://forms.office.com/Pages...
The playground will have the following:

- A sensory inclusive playground with different areas for kids ages 6-23 months
- 2-5 years
- 5-12 years
- Poured-in-place (PIP) rubber safety surfacing
- A continuous loop walking/running track and a 40-yard dash turf area
- An ADA-accessible outdoor exercise and fitness system
- An elevated obstacle fitness course (ages 13 to adult)
- An open-play grassed area
- Shaded play and seating areas
- Accessible perimeter pathways
Woodbridge plans to apply for a Green Acres funding grant from the state to build the new playground.
