Knot Just Bagels is now open in its new home at 93 Main Street, and McAuliffe owns that building, so she took the whole transition as a win. But the relocation of Knot Just Bagels was emblematic of just how much new development has taken place in Woodbridge in the past 10 years.
Despite the fact that her small business was forced to close and relocate, McAuliffe always remained positive and she never criticized Mayor John McCormac. In this 2021 Patch article, she said: "I know not everyone likes all the new buildings, but in the long run I think it will help. Let's say you have 500 new units, that's a potential for more than 500 new customers for all the Main Street businesses."
