Diabetes Foundation to Hold Health Fair on May 9
The health expo will offer free health screenings and provide information on diabetes.
The following information was provided by the Diabetes Foundation.
“Diabetes and You- What You Need to Know”, supported by pharmaceutical leader Sanofi, and Perth Amboy’s own Jewish Renaissance Medical Center, will be held on Thursday, May 9th, from 3:00p.m.-7:00.p.m, in the Jewish Renaissance Medical Center’s 2nd floor Community Room, 275 Hobart Street, Perth Amboy. The event will be staffed with medical professionals speaking both English and Spanish to reach as many people in the community as possible.

Offerings include free health screenings, including blood sugar, blood pressure, dental and vision; one-on-one consultations with diabetes care specialists to address the complications of diabetes and management techniques; information regarding financial assistance and discounts on diabetes medication and supplies, nutrition, physical activity; and much more!
In addition, there will be a guest speaker, free giveaways, and snacks/refreshments for all! The health fair provides a public forum where individuals can get the information they need regarding diabetes issues.

Since 1990, the Diabetes Foundation, Inc. has been helping to improve the care and quality of life for people living with diabetes. The Foundation serves a population that lives day-to-day with this serious chronic disorder. Proceeds from donations benefit programs which include: camp sponsorships for diabetic children, public and professional education, and assistance with medications and supplies to those in serious need of financial assistance.
