Five Family Fun Events in Woodbridge This Weekend

A busy weekend is scheduled for Woodbridge Township.

1. The 5th Annual BarronFest arts festival comes to Parker Press Park from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. More than 50 local artists will have artwork and crafts on display. Admission is free.

2. Putt for Pediatric Hydrocephalus Awareness on Saturday morning: Join Mayor John McCormac and the Illions family of Woodbridge at 10 a.m. Saturday for a mini-golf fundraiser at Skyline Mini-Golf. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for children.

3. Port Reading Community Day will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at Port Reading School #9, 77 Turner St. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy food, music, games and entertainment for children.

4. Colonia pride will abound on Sunday during the Colonia Pride Day Parade, hosted by the Colonia Business Community.

A parade will line up at noon at Colonia Middle School, 100 Delaware Ave., and depart at 1:30 p.m. down Inman Avenue to Charlie Shaughnessy Park. The celebration will continue at the park with a family fun day and a barbecue.

5. Dine Around the World at Trinity Church from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday. $12 buys you an all-you-can-eat ticket to the international food festival at the church, located at 650 Rahway Ave., Woodbridge.
