Lucia should be recognized by the local newspaper because she has overcome various challenges and obstacles to reach her goal of graduating from high school in 2024. As a student who grew up under served, she has faced issues such as lack of access to resources, limited opportunities and barriers to academic success.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about your graduating student nominee?

Lucia is very ambitious. She plans on attending a four-year university this fall. She loves to be around her friends and family, has worked since she was 16, and continues to strive for success.
