Fords Woman, A Physician Assistant, My Personal COVID Hero
"She's been on the front lines at Jersey City Medical Center, caring for those with the virus. Some of her team members tested positive."

FORDS, NJ — Earlier this week, Patch asked our readers to submit a local "coronavirus hero," someone who might not be getting the recognition they deserve.
And Woodbridge resident Eileen Langon nominated her sister, Allison Boyanovski, who lives in Fords.
Is the nominee considered an "essential worker?" Yes

Allison is one of the most dedicated, caring and passionate people I have ever met and I am lucky to be her sister. She is a mother, wife, daughter, friend, parent struggling with homeschooling (like the rest of us!) and breast cancer survivor.
During this pandemic she has been on the front lines at Jersey City Medical Center caring for those with the virus, as well as other patients. She is risking her own health to save others. I would say that treating COVID-19 patients has been daunting and heartbreaking. Plus, the distancing of family members and patients takes a toll on medical staff.
I also know that some of her team members have tested positive for the virus, so that makes it mentally and emotionally stressful as well.
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?
I am super proud of the hard work and selflessness my sister continues to demonstrate day in and day out. While I worry for her safety, I also know she would never be able to sit by and not help those in need.
So from all of us, thank you Allison Boyanovski!
