Grocery Store Sells $10K Lottery Ticket In Middlesex County
5 lucky New Jersey lottery players purchased a ticket for Tuesday's Mega Millions game, earning a third-tier prize of $10,000.
PERTH AMBOY, NJ - One Middlesex County lottery player is now a little richer, according to officials.
The lucky player purchased a ticket for Tuesday’s Mega Millions game, winning a humble third-tier prize of $10,000, officials said.
The winning ticket was sold at Shoprite of Perth Amboy (365 Convery Blvd., Perth Amboy).

Four other winners bought a $10,000 prize winning ticket. Two other lottery players in Burlington and Ocean counties bought the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $40,000.

- Burlington County: Wawa #960, 1115 Route 73 and Howard Blvd., Mt. Laurel, $40,000.
- Ocean County: Lang’s Liquors, 2401 Long Beach Blvd., Ship Bottom, $40,000.
- Bergen County: U & B Mini Market, 141 Palisade Ave., Garfield, $10,000.
- Bergen County: 7-Eleven #11429, 107 Cedar Lane, Teaneck, $10,000.
- Hudson County: TE-AMO, 1504 Paterson Plank Rd., Secaucus, $10,000.
- Middlesex County: Shoprite of Perth Amboy, 365 Convery Blvd., Perth Amboy, $10,000.
- Sussex County: Quick Chek #97, 312 Sparta Ave., Sparta, $10,000.
In addition, 165 players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500.
18 of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $2,000. 240,469 other New Jersey players took home $1,154,500 in prizes ranging from $2 to $800. The winning numbers for the Tuesday, August 1, drawing were: 08, 24, 30, 45, and 61.
