Meet Woodbridge School Board Candidate Thomas Della Sala

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — The Woodbridge school board election will be Nov. 7 this year.

Here is the candidate profile for Thomas Della Sala.

Della Sala currently resides in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township with his wife, Susan.

Their three sons graduated from JFK Memorial HS.

Thomas is a sergeant with the Woodbridge Police Department. He has been a police officer for 28 years and 12 of those years he spent as a detective in the Criminal Investigation Bureau and as an arson investigator for Middlesex County.

Della Sala also served as vice president and president of PBA Local #38 with approximately 150 members. He negotiated multiple contracts with the administration of Woodbridge Township.

He is a graduate of Kean University and holds a bachelor degree in business management. He worked for numerous corporations handling and budgeting their accounting and finance needs before becoming a police officer, which was his real passion.

Della Sala said he would describe himself as someone who likes to help people and is dedicated to doing what is right for his community.

He is also currently Chief Financial Officer for Keystone Sales and Associates.

Board members Frank Della Pietro III and Marie Anderson seek re-election. They will be joined by Nazam Mohammed. All three are running on the Improving Our Schools slate. Their slate is endorsed by Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac, a Democrat.

Also running for Woodbridge school board in 2023 is Tom Maras - Education, Never Indoctrination.

Voters will be asked to choose three.
