Middlesex County 4-H Teens Give Away Toys To Families In Need
Every December, 4-H collects thousands of toys and gifts, and invites over 110 local families to go "shopping" for gifts.
MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — On Sunday, these teenage members of Middlesex County 4-H participated in Project GIFT.
What is Project GIFT? Every December, 4-H collects thousands of toys and gifts, and invites over 110 local families to go "shopping" for gifts. The donated gifts will be given to 300 children and youth in need across the county.
The 4-H teens even man a gift-wrapping station, set up an area where parents can stuff stockings and provide snacks, refreshments and childcare while adults shop.

“Project GIFT is one of my favorite events of the year,” said Middlesex County Commissioner Chanelle Scott McCullum, Chair of the Economic Development Committee. “It’s heartwarming to see the joy it brings to families and the dedication of our 4-H teens, who work tirelessly to make this event happen. This is what the holiday season is all about— community, kindness, and giving.”
“This program embodies the spirit of generosity and community that defines Middlesex County,” said Middlesex County Commissioner Director Ronald G. Rios. “Through Project GIFT, we have the privilege of spreading holiday cheer to families who need it most. We are deeply grateful to the 4-H members, advisors, and the countless County residents who have made this program a success year after year.”
