Tires Slashed Outside Fords Bar After Man Ejected

Woodbridge Police investigate if the man who was booted from Whiskey Tango for allegedly stealing beers is the same person responsible for slashing the tires of every car in the lot.

Woodbridge Police are investigating if a man who was kicked out of Whiskey Tango last week for allegedly stealing beers from the refrigerator is responsible for returning less than a half-hour later to slash the tires of every car in the parking lot, authorities said.

Capt. Roy Hoppock said police have still not found the person who slashed twelve tires, two tires each on six cars.

“Since the video in the parking lot is so vague, unless we come up with an eyewitness or the individual turns himself in, it doesn’t look good,” he said.

Owner of Whiskey Tango on Lafayette Road in Fords, Brad Adam released security camera footage of the patron who is seen stealing the beers from the refrigerator and drinking them.

Other customers saw the man removing beers from the refrigerator and consuming them in the bar. Once customers told the staff, a bartender asked him to either pay for the beers or leave, according to Hoppock.

The video also shows a close-up of the man's face when entering the bar and him exiting once the bartender addressed him.

“The video in the bar is quite clear and you can see that person taking the beer from the cooler,” Hoppock said.

However, Hoppock said since the bar gave the patron the option to pay for the beer or leave, they do not have complaints with the man’s name to find out if he is responsible for the tire slashing.

Owner of the bar, Brian Adam told NJ.com that he believes it is the same person who was ejected who returned to slash the tires.

Adam was not immediately able to be reached for comment Monday.

Anyone with information on the person in the footage can contact Woodbridge Police at (732) 634-7700.
