Brick Puppy Store Under Quarantine
A Brick Township puppy store is under quarantine after reports of families who purchased puppies at the store that died within days. Breeders Association of America, on Route 70 in Brick, was issued the quarantine order on April 6, according to Daniel Regenye, health officer with the Ocean County Health Department. The quarantine, which is in effect until April 28, dictates that the store cannot sell any puppies during that time.

Brick Creates Safe Exchange Zone For Internet Sales
With the growing popularity of internet sales, Brick Township officials are offering a place for people to complete their transactions in safety. The Safe Exchange Zone, located at the rear of the municipal building near the police department entrance, comprises two clearly marked parking spots that are well lit and under 24-hour surveillance.
Matawan Police Chief Confirms Shooting Incident
Police are investigating an incident involving a firearm in Matawan on April 5. According to Matawan Police Chief Jason Gallo, there was only one victim. The incident occurred during the evening, and unconfirmed reports noted that police had requested a medevac helicopter for the injured party.

Long Beach Island has been named one of the best places in the United States to go to for a classic family beach vacation, according to an area travel publication. The island was one of 10 beaches, selected in no particular order, to go to for summer vacation. The main highlight for children is Fantasy Island Amusement Park in Beach Haven, which has a Ferris wheel, funnel cakes, free concerts and magic shows.
