Pedestrian Killed In Rahway Hit-And-Run Identified: Report

The man struck and killed in a Monday hit-and-run in Rahway has been identified as a 63-year-old resident of the city, per a report.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ - The man struck and killed in a Monday hit-and-run in Rahway has been identified as a 63-year-old resident of the city, according to an NJ.com report.

Jose Bonilla was struck near St. Georges Avenue (Route 27) and W. Inman Avenue around 3 a.m. by a dark-colored sedan, the outlet reported. The vehicle then fled southbound heading towards Woodbridge, police said in a previous statement.

Responding officers provided medical aid to the victim who was later pronounced dead at the scene, Rahway police said.

The vehicle in question is believed to be a Nissan with tinted windows, damage to the front driver’s side bumper and a broken front driver’s side window, police said.

Rahway police told NJ.com Wednesday night that there were no updates regarding the investigation.
