‘Bogus 9/11 Charity’ Truck Donated for Fallen Port Authority Police

The F-150 truck will be donated to the Port Authority Police Benevolent Association.

Paul J. Sansone Sr. the chief executive officer of Sansone Auto Group, will donate on Tuesday the Ford pickup truck used in a bogus 9/11 charity to the Port Authority Police Benevolent Association, according to a release.

The red pickup truck was implicated in an alleged scam in August 2012 as part of a false 9/11 charity, Patch previously reported.

Sansone will donate the truck to the PAPBA at Sansone Auto Group on Route 1 in Avenel in honor of the 37 fallen Port Authority policy officers who lost their lives on 9/11.

Michael DeFilippis, second vice president of the Port Authority Police Benevolent Association, which represented the officers, will join Sansone.
