Three Fun Things to Do in Woodbridge This Weekend

It's never too early to begin planning for the weekend.

Woodbridge is getting into the Halloween spirit already! Here's three events to bring the family to over the weekend.

1. Watch healthy cooking demonstrations, get your blood pressure and body mass index checked and possibly win door prizes at the Mayor’s Health Expo from 9 a.m.-noon at the Woodbridge Health Center, 2 George Frederick Plaza.

Free and reduced cost health screenings will be offered, including eye and foot screenings, glucose, lung function, oral cancer, osteoporosis, according to a press release from the mayor's office.

Flu shots will also be made available free to Medicare patients and at a cost of $15 for non-Medicare attendees.

Cooking demonstrations will be offered by Wegmans, according to the release.

2. The Woodbridge Ghost Walk will have its final date of the year from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. Meet at Parker Press Park for a guided walk around Woodbridge Township to meet some its former residents. Tours leave every 15 minutes and cost $5 per person, which also includes a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie at Quick Chek.

3. The Woodbridge Community Center will have a free drive-in movie screening of Beetlejuice at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. Admission is free. The parking lot will open at 6 p.m. if you want to come early to grab a good spot.
