Here are police briefs from the North Brunswick Police Department, from December 27 to December 30, 2014.
December 27
The North Brunswick Police Department responded to a disturbance call at a Birchwood Court address. Upon arrival, officers interrupted an assault and stabbing of a female resident. The suspect was named as David Fillmore, age 25, who officers say remained uncooperative and combative throughout the arrest process, including assaulting an officer. The female victim was transported to the hospital for her injuries. Fillmore was handed over to the Middlesex County Department of Corrections, and charged with multiple crimes, including Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. He is currently being held with $75,000 bail, pending a court date.

December 29
North Brunswick Patrol Division units responded to the Jamba Juice on Shoppes Boulevard, for a reported armed robbery. The employees of the Jamba Juice were held up at gunpoint by three suspects, who fled in an unknown way. This matter is being investigated further by Detectives from the North Brunswick Police Department. North Brunswick Fire, Police, and EMS united responded to Pardun Road for reported smoke at an apartment structure. Upon arrival, responding units confirmed a heavy smoke condition, and began to evacuate the building. All residents of the building, as well as adjacent buildings, were evacuated without any injuries reported, according to police. The Fire Department, under the direction of Chief Lins, arrived and quickly extinguished the blaze before it could spread to any other apartment units. Fire damage was kept to the original apartment where the fire occurred. The other apartment units were cleared within a couple hours, according to police.
