Woodbridge Receives Sustainable Jersey Grant for Complete Streets Program
Woodbridge will use the grant to pilot a Complete Streets program.

Woodbridge Township has been announced as a recipient of a $20,000 grant from Sustainable Jersey.
According to the Sustainable Jersey website, a total of 62 grants were given out through the Small Grants program, totaling $380,000.
The grants were awarded for winning proposals that "provide sustainable solutions to everyday challenges," according to the website.
Woodbridge Township has proposed a "Complete Streets Pilot Program," which will improve road safety for pedestrians, motorists and cyclists.
"This grant will enable Woodbridge Township to continue to move forward with existing plans to identify and improve mobility on our streets," Mayor John McCormac was quoted as saying on the website. "Additionally, the grant funds will allow us to target streets in specific neighborhoods and to implement select projects that will make it easier and safer for residents and visitors to walk, ride bikes, and drive on our streets. This is a great project that will continue to move forward, offering a better – and safer – quality-of-life to our residents.”
