Family Mourns Woodbridge Woman Who Police Say Was Killed By Boyfriend

Marianne Straley, 63, of Iselin, was killed in her home by a man she had been romantically involved with, said the Middlesex Prosecutor.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — The woman who was fatally stabbed last Thursday in Iselin is remembered in this obituary as a beloved mother of three adult children, plus a grandmother, sister and aunt.

Marianne Straley, 63, of Iselin, was killed in her home by a man she had been romantically involved with, said the Middlesex County Prosecutor.

At 9:56 a.m. Oct. 30, Woodbridge Police received a 911 call reporting an argument. Upon arrival, police discovered Straley with multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Roosevelt Oglesby, 63, of Iselin, was arrested without incident and charged with first-degree murder and illegal weapons charges for the knife police say he used.

Oglesby is currently being held at the Middlesex County jail.

Straley will be buried Friday at St. Gertrudes cemetery in Colonia.
