Woodbridge's Newest Grocery Store Will Open Friday

Sprouts, the farmers' market-style grocery store across from the Woodbridge IHOP, will open its doors at 7 a.m. Friday.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Get ready for a new grocery store in town, Woodbridge.

The new Woodbridge Sprouts will open its doors at 7 a.m. Friday. This is the new farmers' market-style grocery store located at 1002 St. Georges Avenue, the brand-new Cloverleaf shopping center across from the Woodbridge IHOP.

Sprouts describes itself as a specialty retailer with an emphasis on fresh and organic produce and food items. Sprouts has a farmers' market-style open layout and a large selection of plant-based, gluten-free, dairy-free and keto items.

Sprouts Market is an anchor tenant for the Cloverleaf shopping center. A Paris Baguette and Nostos Ice Cream are also confirmed to open there, said a leasing agent for the shopping center.

Friday, Oct. 3

  • 6:45am:  Ribbon-cutting
  • 7am:  Doors open. First 200 in-store shoppers receive a FREE reusable bag filled with samples.
  • 7am:  First 400 customers receive a FREE long stem rose courtesy of Falcon Farms Floral.
  • 7am–5pm: Pop-up Party. Join us out front for samples, The Great Scale Showdown contest and a scavenger hunt.
  • 10am–4pm: Taste new products in-store while you shop

Saturday, Oct. 4

  • 7am:  Doors open. First 200 in-store shoppers receive a FREE reusable bag filled with samples.

This will be the fifth Sprouts market to open in New Jersey. The nearest Sprouts is in Aberdeen and it just opened last June.

The Woodbridge Sprouts is currently hiring 107 employees as it prepares to open. They already held an in-person hiring event at the APA Hotel in August. They are hiring for deli clerks, grocery clerks, meat/seafood, department managers, store managers, cashiers, schematics coordinators, sales and brand ambassador and more. The developer and owner of the Cloverleaf Center is Wick Companies, which has built numerous projects in Woodbridge, including the Red Oak Senior Living Apartments (which replaced Stern Towers) and the Green Oak Senior Living Complex, which is replacing Olsen senior towers.
